Company gathers certain information from the IP addresses of all Verifico visitors. Verifico uses a feature of your web browser called a "cookie" to assign a "User I.D." A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer that contains information about the user. By themselves, cookies cannot be used to find out the identity of any user, and Verifico uses "session ID cookies" to confirm that users are logged in, cookies that terminate once the user closes the browser. By default, Verifico uses a persistent cookie that stores your Verifico Account Login ID, but not your password, in order to make your login process easier each time that you return to Verifico. Accordingly, all Verifico users must enable cookies on their browser in order to access the resources available on Verifico. (Note: Cookie preferences are set within each browser's internet preferences.)
When you create a Verifico Account and register, you provide certain personal information, including, your name, your email address, and your mailing address. Additionally, when you establish your Verifico Account profile, you will provide information relating to your skills, experience, education level, compensation, work availability, geographic region, and self-evaluation. Such information does not identify the specificity of the individual member.
Your Verifico registered user account identifies your computer - but not you - to our servers whenever you visit Verifico or its related web sites. Unless you specifically tell us who you are (e.g. by completing an application), we will never know your identity even though we assign you a cookie, should you only be browsing Verifico. Verifico contains links to other external web sites, and if you use a link to visit any such website external to Verifico, we cannot be responsible for the privacy practices or the content of that company or its site, nor any users' experiences therein.
We only grant third party access to nonpublic personal information about you (such as your name, address, social security number, and credit history) to Company employees, and affiliated and nonaffiliated service providers, so that they may provide or offer products and services to you, process and service your accounts, as well as lawfully administer Company business. Our Corporate Code of Conduct requires that your personal information provided to us through Verifico remains confidential, even if you are no longer a Verifico Account holder or user, and we will continue to treat your nonpublic personal information in the same way as if you were still a customer. Additionally, we maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard such personal information. Some state laws may further restrict the sharing of your nonpublic personal information.
Company is the sole owner of any and all information collected through Verifico, including but not limited to any information generated by user activity. When you access Verifico, you provide two types of information that are collected by Verifico: (1) your personal information that you knowingly choose to disclose, and (2) your "website use information" generated as you interact with the website. We also collect nonpublic personal information about you from various sources, including but not limited to Verifico forms and other data entry fields, the Internet, and via telephone interactions with users. Examples of the type of information collected include your name, address, social security number, credit history, and other financial information from transactions with us, our affiliates or with others (e.g. your payment histories, account balances, and other transaction records), and information from credit reporting such as your creditworthiness, your credit score, and credit usage, and also from third parties in order to verify information that you have given us.
If you post information on a Verifico bulletin board, or participate in a public Verifico message board, you should be aware that any personally identifiable information you choose to provide there can be read, collected, or used by other users of such forums and could be used to send you unsolicited communications. Verifico is not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in these forums, or anywhere else on Verifico that may be lawfully accessed by other Verifico users.
Company is firmly committed to the privacy of its users and works hard to earn and keep your trust, so it adheres to the following principles to protect your privacy:
Verifico records user IP addresses for system administration purposes. This information is used to diagnose server problems, monitor internet traffic patterns, analyze trends, administer the website, track member user patterns, and identify the most popular areas of the website to deliver content most relevant to registered members. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information and are only used to gather broad demographic information for aggregate use, except in the case of fraud.
Verifico reserves the right to share aggregated demographic information with its partners and/or advertisers, such information will not be linked to personal information that identifies registered users, except in the case of fraud.
We take our responsibility to protect the privacy and confidentiality of any client information very seriously. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with applicable legal standards to store and secure client information from unauthorized access and use, alteration, and destruction. Our own policies and procedures have been developed to protect the confidentiality of client information and to help achieve compliance with relevant rules and regulations. We hold our employees accountable for complying with those policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
Under the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act, we are permitted to share your name, address, and facts about your transactions and experiences with us (such as your payment history and other account transactions) with our affiliated companies. Verifico contains links to other external websites and is responsible for neither the privacy policies of such websites nor their contents. Company encourages its users to read the privacy policies of all such websites accessed through external links, as this Policy applies solely to Verifico users and the information collected by Verifico.
Company uses industry standard protocols and technology to protect registered user information collected by Verifico and to safeguard its integrity. Verifico is a VeriSign Secure Site. Please click the VeriSign logo at the bottom of any page in the website to view our official VeriSign certificate. All transactions performed through Verifico are conducted in a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) session. The Secure Socket Layer encrypts all transaction data for transmittal in a format that prevents data theft. This process protects all private information from being disclosed to third parties. While on a secure page, the lock icon at the bottom of a Web browser (i.e. Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox) becomes locked.
Verifico also protects offline registered user information as all registered user information is restricted within our offices. Servers used to store personally identifiable information are maintained in a secure, supervised environment. In addition, only duly authorized Company employees with information needs to perform specific task are granted access to personally identifiable information.
Company sends all newly registered Verifico users a welcome e-mail to verify their e-mail addresses. At times, Company sends service announcements to its registered users. Registered users cannot unsubscribe from service announcements that discuss upcoming changes that affect their Verifico accounts. In addition, we communicate with registered members via personal emails or phone calls to provide requested services.
Registered users receive monthly e-newsletters containing information on Verifico products, services and announcements. Occasionally, registered users receive e-postcards that highlight special Verifico announcements and features. Registered users can Opt-Out of the above listed communications. Please see our Choice/Opt-Out section below.
Upon registration, registered users can Opt-Out of Verifico's option communications. Additionally, registered users can, at any time, modify their Verifico service announcement preferences by updating their account information.
